Bitter Sweet

orange zest

How to make:

1. In a mixing glass filled with ice, combine the Cognac, Pineau des Charentes, Campari, Mandarine Napoléon Liqueur, and bitters.


2. Stir gently with a bar spoon for 20 to 30 seconds to chill and blend the flavors without over-dilution.


3. Strain the mixture into a chilled stemmed glass.


4. Garnish with a twisted mandarin zest or a cranberry for an elegant finishing touch.

2/3 fl oz Mandarine Napoleon liqueur
2/3 fl oz Pineau des Charentes blanc
1/3 fl oz Italian red bitter liqueur
1 fl oz Cognac (brandy)
1/6 fl oz Angostura or other aromatic bitters
