Review and Tasting

Sampled on 27/10/2015

Appearance

Clear, deep amber with bronze tints.

Aroma

Heavily roasted coffee beans, espresso, tiramisu and dark chocolate with vanilla and nutmeg spice.

Taste

Strong dry espresso coffee with a burnt note – burnt toffee and faint smokiness. The sugar is a perfect balance so the perception of this liqueur is not sweet.

Aftertaste

Espresso coffee and spice with lingering burnt toffee.

Overall

Full-on dry and lightly bitter espresso coffee without the softening sweet chocolate and vanilla notes found in many other coffee liqueurs.
