Oltrepo’ Pavese is an area encompassing 78 municipalities in the province of Pavia (Lombardy). 59 of them situated in the plains or on the hills; the remaining 19 in the mountains. The area is revered for its viticulture and several species of grapes are grown here for the making spumante.

Appearance:

Clear, pale golden with vigorous medium mouse.

Aroma:

Fruity gooseberry and apple with a touch of cat pee.

Taste:

Dry but with honeyed richness, gooseberry marmalade, cooking apple and raw rhubarb.

Aftertaste:

Cleansing, tart gooseberry acidity.
