Later on, two distinct flavours emerged in North America: the spicy "golden style", similar to ginger beer, was preferred in the United States; meanwhile, the Canadians enjoyed a much milder "pale style". It is the "pale style" which has become known and loved worldwide as ginger ale today."

Review and Tasting

Sampled on 20/11/2019

(sample bottle exp. 19/Aug/20) Rich golden colour, akin to a rich dessert wine, small rising bubbles which dissipate almost immediately.

Fresh ginger with lemon balm, dried sage and faint swimming pool.

Gentle medium-dry, earthy, moderately ginger palate with gentle effervescence.

More dryness and ginger-spiced finish.

A moderately gingery and moderately effervescent ginger ale.
