First developed in 2002, Rare Hare is Bath Ales strongest beer and makes a brief appearance annually just ahead of the Easter Bank Holiday. Rare Hare is brewed with Maris Otter barley and Goldings hops.

Appearance:

(sample 2/Mar/16) Clear, chestnut amber with quickly diminishing thick tan head.

Aroma:

Caramel, sultana fruit and light citrus with faint spice.

Taste:

Dry, moderately bitter, toasty malt, caramel/toffee and light spice.

Aftertaste:

Long, dry finish with sultana fruit, caramel and faint spice.
