Also good with Select. The gentler berry fruit characters and less intense bitterness worked nicely with the Punt e Mes.

Big heavy flavours and prob only one for the negroni aficionados - I used Four Pillars Spiced Negroni gin and at 50ml it’s almost too much. Added 12ml vodka to allow the other ingredients some space. Overall great negroni and will be retrying with other gins. “Winter cocktail” seems like an apt description at this point, with daylight saving just about to end (having just gone midnight here).

Definitely benefits from dilution, particularly the Punt e Mes. I ended up roughly 10ml extra water. Or a reeaally good stir.

Gin is quite dominant at first. Better balance comes with dilution.

I'm not loving this, but I'm not hating it either. The Punt gives it a lovely richness, but these proportions allow the gin to feel a little too strong. (Fergroni)

Totally with you. It’s a more balanced drink with basic Martini Rosso
