It’s a compromise. You lose Cointreau taste by gay an original color…

I made this with 30 ml lemon juice as per the 15th Edition recipe which has, evidently, been revised - I also dispensed with the Absinthe completely (let's just say, a previous bad experience!). Lovely lemony flavour with the Lillet Blanc flavour in the background and the appealing blue colour. The concept and documentation of the "Corpse Reviver" on this website is utterly fascinating.

The move to equal parts (rather than 30ml/1oz lemon juice) is a recent one - after our 16th Edition went to press. A matter of personal taste but equal parts is easy and sits well with this blue drink.

First, it is a beautiful colour. Looks very tropical. Great mixture of flavours. Almost has a tequila style of taste with a little jolt of herbal from the rest of the ingredients. Great cocktail.

I already forget the previous listed measure. May have even misread it the first time. Tried it again with the rinse, along with Tanqueray Rangpur and Cocchi Americano and it turned out much much better.

Way too much absinthe. I knew it before I made it. Even so, worth trying again, with adjustments.

Agreed. 5ml to rinse the glass or dashes in the drink. Recipe amended accordingly. Thanks for bringing to my attention.

I found it a tad sweeter than the Nos 2 recipe and was therefore, not quite as keen on it as the Nos 2, but still a solid cocktail.
