Oh, my, yes. Fruit, flowers, gin (the Botanist was excellent in this as a botanical backbone)bitters, citrus, all lovely. But.... this mezcal note is so unexpected. Suddenly its tiki +. (And its pineapple.) God help me.

Came here after 'Yellow Cactus Flower' and this is the upper class version, but is so well behaved is a little boring. Certainly equilibrated but the marriage of the mezcal and the gin, is the kind of union like Salma Hayek and Pinault, yes certainly now the mezcal is refined, but when it was rough we had from Dusk til Dawn.

Made exactly as written - Really good and very balanced. No element is dominant but all are discernible.

What can I say after Calvin Grant's description.
I used a less smoky mezcal and found this was just perfect.
One of those drinks you got a bottle of Old Tom Gin for.

Wow a vertically integrated cocktail. First, the lovely aromatics from the bitters, then an inviting greeting from the fresh pineapple giving way to the lemon floral complex and finally the sophistically boozy base reveales itself. This sour's a keeper!
