Well, this turned out better than expected. The mint is always great with bourbon, but the split base is a great idea. I cheated some by adding an extra.25 oz of syrup, then decided to add .25 Dom Benedictine. Maybe a touch sweet, so I'll try .5 Rich Syrup with the Dom. Also, I used Trav's Original Bitters, instead of Ango (small Canadian bitters makers, look them up). These OG bitters are a cross between Ango and Peychaud. Really, really good.
