Never tried an Angustura heavy drink before, I guess 1/4 of a bottle is a big investment if it’s not your thing. Need to get my big boy pants on. It’s clearly a nice drink but my brain says no

It is hefty on the bitters side but suprisingly drinkable. Overall I prefer the Trinidad Sour with the Rye notes.

Personally, I use the much cheaper Riemerschmid Angostura for this drink. Different profile but works well for me.

Much better than I thought. Pretty drinkable. I've used falernum instead of sirup although.

No spirit is used. Instead, it has 45 ml of bitters which are 44.7% alc./vol.
