We tried a variant where we replace the Lillet with Americano Rosso (Savoia) and double the champagne top for a slightly more bitter alternative. We call it a Blushing Americano.

We replaced the Lillet Blanc with Noilly Prat and the result was a very refreshing palate cleanser. Will have to compare to original soon!

Ok, the original is fruitier and brighter, and a generally more invigorating drink!

Not my idea of an Americano Bianco. 1½ oz. Noilly Prat, 1½ oz. Amaro Bianco, and 2½ oz. soda water with a bit of lemon zest is much more like it!
