Delicious. A true vintage Martini. I did express a lemon peel and then discarded and I think it made it just that little more complex.

One for a picnic down by the river on a warm summer’s day, or a seaside luncheon. Much more savoury and appetite encouraging than the searing pristine alcohol-ness of a classic 5:1 dry martini ( which I also enjoy in turn). Bring on the antipasti and cool jazz 😘

Wasn't sure if I would like this as I am not really a big fan of vermouth as a major flavour. I was pleasantly surprised. Both ingredients work well together. We did stir (although I do like all my martinis shaken).
The key to this is very good ingredients. This is no time for the nasty, cheap stuff.

Nasty, cheap stuff? Unthinkable! But what stylee of gin works best here?
