Made with Laird's Bottled in Bond Applejack (100 proof). 10 g of sugar is about 2t of (granulated, not caster) sugar, FYI. I thought this was quite good - the volume of hot water works well in separating out different flavor notes in the applejack - I was surprised at the perfumy/floral note, and the definite presence of wood (when trying applejack neat, the intensity of the alcohol overwhelms these more subtle notes). Nice, warming, and very interesting.
