I'll buy "easy drinking," though it's not very negroni-ish. It's an aperitif-cocktail enhanced with a Suze gentian kick and and a gin octane boost. Non-challenging, goes down easy. I made one tonight alongside a more complex Byrrh negroni variant, the Amber Negroni (Remy-Martin 1738, Salers, and Golden Moon's Amer dit Picon). As expected, the difference was stark, and we both preferred the Amber as a pre-dinner drink, but both work in their own ways and it simply boils down to what you're after. Slainte'!

Oh yes the Amber negroni is great too! My first bottle of Byrrh and really liking it.
