If you're in the U.S. and wishing you could buy this, maybe try SelvaRey white rum. I've never had HC 3, but some seem to think the SelvaRey is very similar and it was supposedly created by the former Director of Research and Development of the Cuban rum industry overseeing Havana Club prior to 1994. I've been liking the SelvaRey for any cocktail on DG that calls for "Light gold rum (1-3 year old molasses column)" so far...

Absolutely the best widely-available rail rum. Oily and just tropical enough.
