Sweet on sweet on sweet on sweet. A splash of lemon just about cuts through it but then it's just sweet on sweet.

100% true. Too unbalanced. Maybe an amaro version where the cola flavour comes from an Amaro (like Averna or Montenegro) can make this a better drink.

Surprisingly pleasant. The amaretto works quite well with the overwhelming sweetness of the cola and the bourbon/tennessee whisky does the ending really well with just enough punch
