It is pretty much if a Rusty Nail was transformed into a Mint Julep. Nice, but nothing special at all.

I also will add that I have went with Michelle's suggestion of only making it 7.5ml (1/4 oz of simple syrup). 15 ml (or 1/2 oz) is WAY too much.

This is probably the sweetest Julep on the site. I fixed it with 2 cl Ardbeg Wee Beastie (peated whisky) That's not for everyone though... 😂

Agreed with John…..a bit sweet. Probably use ⅓ or ¼ oz Rich Syrup next time.

Great rift on the traditional Julep. We always find Juleps to be a bit sweet so backed off the sugar syrup. Drambuie add wonderful heather and honey notes to the Scotch Whisky.
