FYI: In USA/Canada it is made in the USA (aka Produit des États-Unis). My 'nose', despite its size, is inadequate in terms of describing it. I find it sweeter than 'merest touch', but not sweet. The main difference is that - at least in Canada - it is 46% proof. Its flavour is complex. ie I have no idea how to relate it to the description above, taking into consideration I haven't had Palma Violets in 50 years.
The label has another vaguely dressed damosel on the rear.
