The Heineken plant at Zoeterwoude is not generally open to the public, but Heineken have converted their original brewery in the centre of Amsterdam into The Heineken Experience. Within the setting of the historic brewery visitors can follow the brewing process from barley grains to bottle.
The self-guided tour takes approximately 1.5 hours and is part educational and part theme park with knowledgeable guides on hand along what is a very informative and entertaining tour. Naturally a refreshing glass of Heineken awaits at the end of the tour.
