A refined sweet martini. Excellent. Sampled this with Cocchi Dopo Teatro - I think it probably needs a rich vermouth - and Ableforth's Bathtub gin. This recipe is a keeper.

Fantastic drink, ambosia! I enjoyed this one very much using the mighty Sazerac Rye. (I skipped the syrup and reduced the Ango to a single dash, which suits my 'senior' palate.)
Tried this using Mezan Jamaica XO. Fantastic! Then again, I'm a big fan of the Last Word, so it was always going to be a winner in my book.
This is one of the greats, though, as so often with the Savoy Cocktail Book, it calls for premium ingredients.
Needs a decent amount of dilution on the stir. A good, vintage-style drink.
I used the clear Crème de Menthe, by Briottet. A simple, tasty sour.
A fantastic gateway drink, if you have a friend who isn't yet hooked on Mezcal.
Tried this with Lustau Cream Solero sherry from Mark's & Spencer. Fantastic.
This is a variant of Wray and Nephew with ginger ale which they serve in the Caribbean. Worth a try, but it's pretty boozy. I think the original is better.
Tried this one using the new Tempus Fugit coffee liqueur and Jonny Walker Black. A simple drink that needs premium ingredients, but absolutely spot on. Hooray!
I made this last night with Tempus Fugit creme de menthe and the some very nice home made sloe gin. Delicious.
