Ok. It isn’t great. But cocktail making is having fun. I shook it up with some overproof Wray & Nephew and added some ginger ale to long the drink. Then I was onto something. Lashed quite quickly.

I’m a sucker for mint in cocktails. This is going into my repertoire. I went heavier on the Angostura which is a treat.
No apertivo, subbed with 10ml Campari.
Changed dry for blanco to up the sweetness. I liked it, on my have again list.
Bitter, sweet, loveeeeely.
Glad I found this drink. Need to buy a dasher bottle, absinthe without one can be heavy handed. Really enjoy that cherry flavour upfront.
Previous comment about being a little thin which I tend to agree with. A fraction more sugar syrup would work for me personally. I drank it whilst scoffing dark chocolate which paired nicely!! Defo a falling down drink!!
Excellent stuff. Smooths out the brandy lovely. I’m going slightly heavier on the ango. Will experiment with my other bitters.
