I only had unsweetened cranberry juice so I added 10-15ml of a homemade ginger syrup and increased the falernum about 10ml. I made it twice, once with Cointreau and once with Grand Marnier. In both I substituted gin for vodka because my wife and I prefer gin. I added orange bitters because I was also checking out the Messianic Cocktail recipe and thought it might work for this one as well.

The versions I made were really good and just slightly gingery, perfect for an almost-winter night.

My wife called this one "dangerously delicious" and I agree. I made one with plain Bluecoat gin and one with Bluecoat's Elderflower gin (Elder Enzoni?). We found the regular Bluecoat to be better. I'm planning on making one with the Barrell-Aged Bluecoat and red grapes the next time we have red grapes.

A little too tart on the first few sips (mellowed as it sat) and I couldn't taste the bourbon. I would make this again and halve the lemon and orange juices.

Tasty and goes down quickly, but I should have trusted my instinct and reduced the lime cordial. I used Tanqueray Rangpur and was hoping to taste gin, but the citruses overpowered it. As Eva S. said, it's more of a Gin-garita.

Pretty tasty. I used coconut rum and made it both with the vodka and without (substituting coconut rum for vodka). Both versions reminded me of drinking on the beach in St. Croix.

A little too sweet for me. My wife liked it, but I prefer to cut the triple sec with something sharp like tequila. I’d rather have a rum drink over ice to dilute it a bit more as I’m drinking so this cocktail probably wasn’t right for me from the get-go.

I added a few drops of citrus bitters after the initial tasting. The cocktail is decent, it went down fast, but I felt the gin was lost and overwhelmed by the rum. I like rum, I like gin, I want to taste both when I drink cocktails that include them.

Tasty, perhaps a little sweet for drinking multiples (my wife and I split one and it was a good amount). I'd probably increase the lemon juice a touch and similarly decrease the orgeat if I make it again.
