The amount to "top up with" varies by cocktail and is usually to fill to just under the brim of the glass. Since 2019, I have been stating volumes for all ingredients and I'm gradually updating all previously added cocktails. Is there a cocktail in particular you are referring to?
Thank you for your swift response. I raised the question preparing an Apple spritz but I struggled with this question before, e.g. the royal mojito, Gin Buck. I understand the logic of the glass brim but that of course also depends on the volume of the ice in a mojito or buck. So, it’s great that you are updating. Given the number of entries that’s quite a job. I am struggling to make and enjoy all the cocktails in a 10-year plan with a pace of 365 cocktails a year. Also thank you for this great site that I am promoting a lot as the place to go for cocktails. Kind regards, Jock
I highly appreciate all the useful information. I wonder about one issue: if it says “top up with”, how much should I top up.
Iets minder zoet volgende keer. Erg stevig
I have a Bardinet Maraschino and I feel it’s overpowering in this cocktail. Anybody have any experience with it? I want to know if it’s worth picking up some Luxardo or if maybe I just don’t like maraschino.
Just tried it for first time. My first reaction was the same. Next time I will limit the maraschino. Loved it anyway.
Whiskey sour is always nice but the add on does not really add to what makes a ws great.
