Ahhhh....the ever elusive perfect old fashioned has come pretty close to perfection with this recipe. 5 stars!

Borderline too sweet for my taste with cane sugar so will try with demerrara sugar next time or reduce the cane sugar. Also thinking of maybe 'cutting' it with a dash of Rittenberg for some bite.

Very nice and refreshing. Used 2.5ml of honey instead of agave syrup and rimmed glass with tajin salt. Didn't have margarita bitters so used agnostura bitters instead which went nicely with the cointreau. May add a bit of soda next time to make it last longer as the drink finished too quickly!

Taste of vanilla was too strong for me personally. Added some Chambord which helped but changed the taste too much from the intended drink I imagine

A sweet cocktail but should be great for entertaining. Tried adding more campari as someone else said but personally preferred it as per original recipe. May try adding more lemon juice next time

Loved it but found it too sweet so added a little extra lemon to balance it. The sweetness definitely masks the kick from the gin....dangerous! Good one for when guests are over
