I used different Gin's from the recipe above (Bareksten Dry, Old Tom and Navy, and even the elderflower was from Bareksten), but I followed through with Monkey 47 (the complexity is superb). And as of lately, I have started using a "Grenadine" liqueur instead of the syrup, with good results; more depth and body. I find this Cocktail to be one of the better Gin Cocktails out there. A must- try if you are a Gin lover!
This cocktail deserves a better rating! What I do like in cocktails is complexity, and the sort of complexity that can be traced back to each of its parts (like in wine of high quality). This cocktail does just that.
