Definitely doesn’t need the sugar rim, although I haven’t tried it…
Perfectly balanced. I used a Camus VSOP and it was so good I had to have another

I used 12ml of fresh lime juice and 3ml of freshly squeezed orange juice.
I also used unsweetened cranberry juice and added 5ml of sugar syrup. I didn’t have Grand Marnier so used Cointreau and then added 12.5ml of cognac. Wondering whether I ended up with a whole new cocktail but it got great reviews ?
I used Rittenhouse Straight Rye. Great cocktail that has a really long finish. 5 stars.
I used pasteurised egg whites - although 15 egg whites in a carton is a lot of sours…
Worth it though, this is an excellent recipe!
This came up on my random selector and my ingredients were slightly lacking…
I used pomegranate instead of cranberry and stem ginger syrup instead of falernum.
I added the sprig of rosemary to the shake with a half twist of orange.
A bit off-piste but went down very nicely!
Only had White Bacardi and 10yo tawny port but it was still pretty good!
Excellent on a grim December evening. Classic for a reason. One large orange and one lime conveniently delivered just the right amount of juice for two of these ?
Yes probably a great desert cocktail but this was pretty good before dinner too ?
I added a strip of orange zest and floated the cream across only half of the glass to bring that calorie count down to about 346. Expecting a call from weight watchers very soon…
This was very refreshing and a lot drier than I’d expected. Very enjoyable
Well worth approximately 185 calories ?
Lovely. I added 1.25ml of maraschino syrup.
I used Briottet’s crème de cacao blanc and garnished with finely chopped milk chocolate.
Agree with the point about the orange hit. Very good!
