Tough one to make, I feel. You have to get the "correct" ingredients for your taste. Maybe Laphroaig 10 fits better for a smokier hint than Ardbeg. The gin is key as well; maybe a sweeter one would make it better.
Orange gin, Red bitter liqueur, Rosso/sweet vermouth, Tonic water
