Strongbow is a fabulous cider that balances sweetness with the acidic, tart character of apple. Perfectly balanced and pairs well with venison, bison, and wildfowl.
Mimicking the Dr. Pepper flavor, of course, depends on the IPA. I started with the above specs, using local Yards IPA, but went through a few ratio tweaks before settling on: 90 ml cola, 45 ml IPA, 30 ml amaretto. But even that isn't quite dead on... What IPA brands would you all recommend?
Hope you are doing well. Give Harpoon IPA a try. Has a bit more of malty character and less hop forward.

I substituted a 3 finger pinch of brown sugar for the sugar syrup. Imparted a maple type taste to the cocktail. Delicious
