Old Thumper was first brewed in late 1979 but lacked a suitable name so a competition ensued in the press and one Joe Leedham from Broadstone, Dorset came up with the title. It was voted Champion beer of Britain by Camra in 1988.

Aparência:

Clear, copper amber with minimal white head.

Aroma:

Malty nose with honey covered tropical fruit and buttery diacetyl and very slight vegetal note.

Sabor:

Pine and herbal hop bitterness balancing sweet honey with cacao and coffee makes for a well-balanced palate.

Aftertaste:

Slight herbal note (thyme?) to the finish with lingering hop bitterness.
