The name Trois Rivières, literally 'Three Rivers', comes from the Trois Rivières distillery and sugarcane plantation on Martinique which is bordered by three rivers: Bois d'Inde, Oman and St. Pierre. Since 2003-4, Trois Rivières rums have been made at the island's Rivière Pilote distillery.
This 100 proof 'rhum blanc agricole' was distilled from fermented sugar cane juice using a column still and then rested for three months prior to bottling in huge wooden vats. It is reduced to strength with spring water and bottled at the distillery.
A lower-strength bottling 40% Thois Rivières Blanc is also available.

Crystal clear.
Pungent, fruity and slightly funky with yeasty notes, peppery spice, and faint lavender.
Flavours of salty sugar cane and faint floral notes. Despite the spirituous spice from the high alc./vol. this is surprisingly mellow on the palate.
Long, sweet black and white pepper finish.
A very good example of a traditional rhum blanc from Martinique at our preferred 50% alc./vol strength.
