This spiced rum contains an extract of the bark of the tree Richeria Grandis. Known locally as Bois Bandé, which literally translates from French as ‘stretched wood’ - let’s just say that in St Lucia the men take this instead of Viagra.

Other ingredients include local spices such as nutmeg, cinnamon and vanilla - indeed each bottle contains a whole vanilla pod.

Sadly the voluptuous maiden depicted naked on the label reaching for the forbidden fruit is so graphic that her pert nipples alone are probably enough to stop the killjoy authorities allowing its sale in the EU Its strength below 37.5% abv also precludes its sale as a ‘rum’ in the USA and EU.

Aparência:

Dark amber.

Aroma:

Ripe nose with plump dried fruit, vanilla, baked apple dusted in cinnamon and served with a grating of nutmeg.

Sabor:

Honey baked apple, vanilla and cinnamon notes with raisin fruit continuing to the slightly sweet palate.

Aftertaste:

This very Christmassy tasting rum finishes with a pleasing light spice.
