Launched in 1976, Schloss Eggenberg Urbock 23˚ is a pale double bock, meaning it is a full-bodied, strong lager, while the 23˚suffix refers to the amount of sugars prior to fermentation.

Urbock 23˚ is brewed with four hops strains: Magnum, Muehlviertler, Hallertauer Mittelfrüh and Spatler Selet, and is cold cellar conditioned for nine months.

Aparência:

Very slight haze, coppery golden with medium head with modest retention and lacing.

Aroma:

Fragrant, soapy, cut grass, citrus zest, sherry, runny honey and faint dung note.

Sabor:

There's a bite of alcohol to a bitter-sweet palate with barley-sugar, sweet red berry fruit, clove and faint pine.

Aftertaste:

Barley-sugar with pine and clove bitterness.
