Launched in 1976, Schloss Eggenberg Urbock 23˚ is a pale double bock, meaning it is a full-bodied, strong lager, while the 23˚suffix refers to the amount of sugars prior to fermentation.
Urbock 23˚ is brewed with four hops strains: Magnum, Muehlviertler, Hallertauer Mittelfrüh and Spatler Selet, and is cold cellar conditioned for nine months.
Experimentado em 27/02/2012
Very slight haze, coppery golden with medium head with modest retention and lacing.
Fragrant, soapy, cut grass, citrus zest, sherry, runny honey and faint dung note.
There's a bite of alcohol to a bitter-sweet palate with barley-sugar, sweet red berry fruit, clove and faint pine.
Barley-sugar with pine and clove bitterness.
