In 2000, Kristof De Roo, Rikkert Maertens, Stefaan Soetemans and Sven Suys, all graduates from KaHo St. Lieven in Gent, the Flanders brewing school, clubbed together to start their own brewery. The obvious name for the four intrepid friends' new concern, 'Musketeers Brewing Company'.
This Belgian triple-style IPA is their first beer, named after the troubadours of medieval times - young men who journeyed from village-to-village, telling stories and performing music and poetry. Dry-hopped with American hops to produce an ale with 20 °Plato, EBC: 60 and IBU: 50.
Experimentado em 14/04/2012
Cloudy, orange amber with large head which fades to little more than a ring of foam leaving heavy lacing.
Yeasty caramel with dried fruit, tinned peaches, raisins, malt and plentiful spicy hops.
Bready bitter sweet, herbal palate with grapefruit citrussy hops, topical fruit and flamed orange zest.
Long, pine bitter finish with lingering herbal notes.
