This rare Japanese mead is made using honey sourced 600-800 metres above sea level in the mountains of Tochigi from the nectar of native flowers native. Even in Japan domestically produced mead represents less than 1 per cent of the mead market with most coming from Canada, China and Poland.

Appearance:

Clear, pale yellow with a slight green tinge.

Aroma:

Subdued honey with slight yeasty note reminiscent of sake.

Taste:

Very slightly sweet, light clean palate with green apple and faint balancing acidity.

Aftertaste:

Very slightly tart finish with lingering green apple skin flavour.
