Brewed in West Flanders in the small village of Watou, in the heart of the Le Plat Pays hop area, the home of St. Sixtus Trappist Monastery. Shortly after the WWII, the monks decided to stop commercial brewing and production transferred to nearby Brouwerij St. Bernard where this beer is made.

(bbd 25-Nov-14) Cloudy, dark red-brown with thick lasting head.
Raisons, sultanas, banana, yeast, tack room and clove with faint dung.
Full bodied palate with hefty dose of clove on a toasted barley palate with dried and banana fruit.
Clove and toasted hot cross bun finish with lingering raisons.
