Lunched in 2012, Shellback Silver is produced from molasses at the West Indies Rum Distillery in Barbados using both pot and column distillation. The blend is bottled without aging.

Shellback is a term for sailors who had crossed the equator, meaning they were capable of handling long and rough sea journeys. Its makers say Shellback Rum “salutes those with the spirit of discovery” and according the bottom of each bottle features the embossed face of a compass.
