The Perrier-Jouët Belle Epoque 2007 blend consists 50% Chardonnay (from Cramant and Avize), 45% Pinot Noir and 5% Pinot Meunier (from Dizy). The wine has been cellar aged for 6 years and 3 months, and dosed at 9gram per litre.
Perrier-Jouët Belle Epoque is released ready to drink but maybe stored for a few years in appropriate cellar conditions before drinking. It should be served between 10° and 12°C, either as an aperitif or with food.
The 2007 vintage was the result of a year marked by a very mild winter and an exceptional spring. April temperatures were more like those of a summer month, causing the vines to flower early. The summer started rainy with low temperatures but a warmer August allowed the grapes to ripen fully, leading to an early harvest and an especially generous vintage.
