Released in October 2017, Cîroc French Vanilla is the eighth flavour in the Cîroc range. It is based in five times distilled vodka made from French grapes, blended with vanilla flavours from multiple sources including Madagascar, along with other natural flavouring.

Crystal clear (with thick heavy legs on the glass).
Pungent cream-of-soda vanilla and vanilla ice-cream with light white pepper.
Slightly sweet, pronounced vanilla flavour – reminiscent of liquid vanilla ice-cream with a peppery spirituous spice and faint cacao.
Cream of soda/vanilla ice-cream and cracked black pepper spice.
Vanilla is one of those universally liked flavours – think indulgent vanilla ice-cream and thick vanilla milkshakes, and this Cîroc flavour has similarly wide appeal. With its slight sweetness (perhaps a tad over sweet for some), it leans towards confectioner's vanilla rather than vanilla pod, but this is the style of vanilla identified with vanilla ice-cream and who doesn't like vanilla ice-cream? Hence, the vast majority of drinkers will like Cîroc French Vanilla just as it comes, but for those like me who prefer a drier vanilla flavour then I'd suggest dropping a spilt vanilla pod into the bottle and leaving to infuse for 3 or more days. The result is a spectacularly good vanilla vodka. (Beware bottlings for the European market at a mere 35% alc./vol. which we rate a mere 4 out-of-5.)
