A brand of green ginger wine, created in the port of Leith, Scotland in 1801 by wine merchant, John Crabbie. As well as fresh root ginger, Crabbies is flavoured with lemon and orange zests, wild cowslips from Eastern Europe and Oriental cinnamon and cloves.

The Crabbies brand was bought in October 1993 by MacDonald & Muir Ltd, owners of the Glenmorangie malt whisky brand who were in turn acquired by Moet Hennessy in 2004. Both Crabbie’s ginger wine and Crabbies ginger beer are now produced by Halewood Vintners.
