Review and Tasting

Sampled on 16/03/2020

Appearance:

Clear, bright mid-deep coppery amber.

Aroma:

Lucazade Original, freshly sawn hardwood, children's blackcurrant jelly, Acacia honey and chamois leather.

Taste:

Candied orange peel, hardboiled blackcurrant candy and cinnamon spice.

Aftertaste:

Long harmonious fruity, spicy and woody finish.

Overall:

Rich candied fruit beautifully balances elegant dry wood tannins with just enough spice. It's not often you come across a spirit aged in chestnut casks so worth savouring.
