The Glenlivet distillery boasts a broad inventory of aged whiskies of numerous different casks types - first fill and refilled American and European oak are used in the building of Glenlivet 18. Although not a 'sherried' whisky, Glenlivet 18 uses more sherry casks than younger Glenlivet expressions.

Aparência:

Clear, golden amber with bright gold highlights.

Aroma:

Fruit cake and banana cake drizzled with honey and a sprinkling of linseed oil. Orchard fruit – crisp red apples, dried apricot, pouched pears. Mixed nuts, nougat and toffee with raisins, cinnamon and nutmeg.

Sabor:

Slight honey sweetness with generous fruit (physalis fruit, fresh pressed orange juice and fruit cake), buttery malt, vanilla fudge and crispy pasty. Cinnamon and nutmeg spice notes are subtle and graceful.

Aftertaste:

Long, fresh barley with nutmeg and cinnamon spice but gently so with sweet sultanas and currants.
