Made from the partially fermented must of sunned Pedro Ximénez grapes by one of the few major family-owned sherry producers.

Review and Tasting

Appearance:

Clear, deep amber with bronze highlights. (Not as dark nor as opaque as some P.X..)

Aroma:

Fig, prune, raisin, mince pie filling, liquorice, and leathery tobacco leaf.

Taste:

Prune, raisin and fig with Demarara sugar/molasses and mild cinnamon with just enough acidity.

Aftertaste:

Prune, raisin and Christmas pudding.

Overall:

Rich Christmas pudding in a glass but not as viscus as some other PX and far from cloying. Indeed so it's hard to some drinking.
