Appearance:
Dark chestnut brown.
Aroma:
Hints of stewed pear and prune, plump sultanas and cinnamon spice on the Christmassy nose.
Taste:
Cinnamon spice and slightly caramelised sultanas dominate the palate, which perhaps lacks the nutty notes the label is suggesting.
Aftertaste:
Rich Christmas pudding with plenty of sherry and perhaps a tad too much cinnamon.
