Longtable is a husband and wife operated micro distillery, where this vodka by redistilling neutral grain alcohol with a small amount of fresh lemon grass in a copper pot still. The distillate is then "polished over a bed of locally sourced Texada Island limestone".

Appearance:

(sample bottle batch 017) Crystal clear.

Aroma:

Lemongrass and lemon sherbet with cracked black pepper and faint grainy notes.

Taste:

Subtly lemon zesty flavours with enlivening black pepper spice. Faint sweetness.

Aftertaste:

Lingering black pepper spice and very faint lemon

Overall:

This superbly clean vodka is restrained as flavoured vodkas go with subtle notes of lemon glass. Perhaps best termed "with a hint of" rather than "flavoured". Well-conceived, well-made and very enjoyable.
