Talisker Distiller’s Edition is initially aged in ex-American whiskey hogsheads before being re-casked and finished in Amoroso sherry butts. First launched in travel retail in 1997.

Appearance:
(distilled 2000, bottled 2011) Clear coppery golden with slow falling tears.
Aroma:
Wax crayon, sea salt and faint fruit cake with subtle peat.
Taste:
Lightly spiced, slightly green smoky vegetal peat (spinach/asparagus) served with heavily salted butter.
Aftertaste:
Sweet oily and lightly smoked with cacao.
