This botanical spirit is the first product to be released by Nc'nean distillery, Scotland's first 100% organic distillery, and is created with an unaged whisky base which is then redistilled with ten botanicals, including wild herbs and flowers that grow around the distillery.

While the long fermentation and first distillation into new-make spirit happens at the Nc'nean Distillery, the final distillation with botanicals occurs at the nearby distillery of Beinn An Tuirc.

Appearance:

Crystal Clear.

Aroma:

Bready new-make barley character is very evident, unripe pineapple and fruity esters sits alongside faint heather and herbal complexity.

Taste:

Peppery spirituous spice, with the same bread and barley notes found on the nose. Faint herbal aromas and a touch of blackcurrant and other dark fruits.

Aftertaste:

A spicy, bready fnish.

Overall:

The New make character dominates the flavours brought in by a second distillation but in a good way. Nc'nean is great with tonic and makes a pleasing change to gin.
