
Use a y peeler to cut a strip of orange, about 4 inches long. Take a knife and straighten the edges, angling the two ends diagonally in the same direction. Take the orange and express the oils over top of the drink. Twist the orange in on itself, with the pith facing inward, and place between the cube and the glass.
Add All Ingredients (Smallest To Largest) Into A Mixing Glass (Chilled Pint Glass Preferably)
Fill With Ice
Stir Until Chilled (Approximately 30 Seconds)
Use A Julep Strainer To Strain Into An Old Fashioned Glass With A Large Cube
Garnish And Serve
1/2 fl oz | Heering Cherry Liqueur |
1 dash (4 drops) | Angostura or other aromatic bitters |
1 barspoon | Cinnamon syrup |
1/2 fl oz | Calvados / apple brandy / straight applejack |
1 1/2 fl oz | Woodford Reserve Reserve Double Oak Straight Bourbon Whiskey |
1 dash (4 drops) | Bittermens Xocolatl Mole bitters |
