
1 date and 1 cherry on a cocktail stick and balance on the glass (preferably maraschino but any cherry will suffice)
Add ice to your rocks glass, chilling it down
Add all the ingredients to a boston tin/glass, including 2 dates (fruit, not liqueurs) and shake hard, allowing the jam to impart its flavours and aromas.
Empty your rocks and refill with fresh cubed ice, your glass should now be sufficiently chilled.
Double strain from the boston through a fine strainer to ensure no little bits from the jam or dates sully your drink.
Add garnish and serve.

1/3 fl oz | Bols Apricot Brandy |
1 1/6 fl oz | Courvoisier V.S. |
2/3 fl oz | Malbec red wine |
1 barspoon | Maraschino (Marasca) syrup (from cherry jar) |
