St. Agrestis Phony Negroni is a ready-to-serve, non-alcoholic cocktail designed to replicate, and some say exceed, the taste of the classic alcoholic Negroni. It's flavoured using 30 non-GMO organic botanicals sourced from five continents.

Phony Negroni is sweetened with organic cane sugar from the Caribbean and contains trace amounts of juniper and quinine, but doesn't contain grapefruit, artificial flavours or colouring.

Carbonated water, cane sugar, natural flavours, citric acid, fruit juice, phosphoric acid, quinine, sodium benzoate.

Appearance:

Clear, crimson red with some rising bubbled from carbonation

Aroma:

Herbal, floral and zesty.

Taste:

The piney and citrus notes associated with gin combine with bittersweet herbaceous and floral flavours. Light carbonation might not be what you expect from a Negroni, but adds to the mouthfeel and bitter notes in this non-alcoholic version.

Aftertaste:

Lingering peppery bitterness with citrus and floral parma violet-like notes.

Overall:

It's not just brilliantly named, Phoney Negroni also tastes good and is one of the best renditions of a non-alcoholic cocktail we've sampled. It might not taste as good as an alcoholic Negroni, but it's a great alternative.
