First released in 1991 and named after Hancock Taylor, a surveyor in the Leestown area who was killed by Native Americans. Hancock's President's Reserve is one of four single barrel bourbons from the Buffalo Trace stable, the others being Blanton's, Rock Hill Farms and Elmer T. Lee.

The bottle does not carry a barrel number or age statement but Hancock's Reserve is believed to be around 8 years old.

Made using Buffalo Trace's "Rye Mash #2" recipe, Hancock's President's Reserve was originally introduced by Master Distiller Emeritus who worked for more than 50 years at the distillery.

Bottled at 88.9 proof (44.45% alc./vol.)
